It was so nice being home for Thanksgiving. We missed having a few people with us but maybe next year they will be at our table. Jill put on a wonderful dinner with the help of her mother-in-law Rosemary, Mom and Jenna. I only did a little work so they get all the praise. Rosemary made 2 wonderful stuffings and a pecan and a pumpkin pie. Jill did the turkey and greenbean caserole and the rest of the goodies. Mom and Dad did the ham and Jenna made Oma's Apple pie. Needless to say there was enough food for an army. Jill invited a few friends from work so we had a house full. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thanks to all for making Jenna's first Thanksgiving in America so wonderful.
The day after Thanksgiving I was shown what crazy people do. My sister is a wonderful bargin shopper, even if it means getting up at 3 am to catch the bargins. She decided that we all had to go. So at 3:30 am we were in the car and on our way to the first sale of the morning. Jill and Rosemary had a wonderful time cruizing the bargins. We learned the hard way that we had to do it in shifts and have one of us wait in the checkout line so that was Mom's job. I even took a few runs at the sale items. Didn't find a bunch but we had fun!! It was an absolute madhouse. Not sure if I want to do it again next year... but we will see when the ads come out.
Today we spent the day in the attic getting the christmas decorations down and put up. The outside is now all lit up and beautiful. So it will be pretty when my baby gets here. I will get some pictures of the outside tomorrow night.
